Are there any boiler fuels other than petroleum products?

In view of the need to ensure that modern industry meets its commitments to sustainability, alternative fuels to petroleum products are increasingly in demand for industrial processes, and for operating steam boilers.

The new fuels come from industrial by-products of some specific sectors (agriculture, forestry and food) and can be used for the boilers in the industry itself, or supplied to other industrial sectors as an energy source.

The alternative fuels are organic, and include solid biomass (wood waste, cork dust, shells, nuts, etc.), as well as liquids such as vegetable and animal oils. There are also gaseous alternatives, such as biogas which comes from methane gas.

ATTSU provides boilers that run on these new fuels, and also offers various models of electric boilers for industry.
