How is the performance of boilers that operate using gas measured?

The performance of boilers is directly related to the type of fuel they use, since they do not all have the same calorific value.

Liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) have a higher calorific value than natural gas or diesel.

The lower calorific value (LCV) is commonly used in industrial steam boilers to show their performance. Condensing boilers obtain higher levels of efficiency, and this is based on the HCV (higher calorific value) of the fuel.

No fuel - and therefore no boiler - is 100% efficient, but if the recommendations of manufacturers like ATTSU concerning operation and maintenance are followed, they can be much more efficient while operating, and natural resources can be saved.
