What are water storage tanks used for?

Water storage tanks are an essential part of the supply of domestic hot water (DHW) in industrial facilities, and in buildings and hotels, among other premises. They are systems that heat and store hot water until it is used.

A storage tank is made up of an external or internal heat exchanger that allows a hot fluid, such as steam or water, to transfer its high temperature to the water.

The storage tanks that ATTSU manufactures and installs for domestic hot water are made of stainless steel, have a capacity of 200 to 50,000 litres and their heat exchangers are based on casing, pipes or panels. The exchangers are folded downwards when they are installed to prevent unwanted microorganisms from building up, and to promote natural water circulation.
